Raised in East Africa – a life of few boundaries – it was difficult to adapt to the rigours of a boarding school on the wind-swept cabbage fields of Thanet; a chilly coastal outpost of south east England. Nine years of eye-watering restrictions encouraged me to enjoy the freedoms of early 60’s London, and a stint of teaching in Kashmir prepared the way for a student life and a happy career in teaching.
The joy continued whilst managing sports centres and leisure facilites and organising and marketing major events.
Four desperate years followed in the south of France; a wake-up call and realisation of my vulnerability and frailty. The ten years it took to re-balance eventually morphed into a career as a therapist.
My books explain why ands what needs to be done to reverse the direction that societies are travelling – towards poor health and dependence upon synthetic medicines and overburdened health services.
Food and health are my passions as is the need for humour as my latest book demonstrates.

‘WHATS IN MY FOOD?’ gives you surprising and accurate information in an easy to read eBook on Kindle. It answers the above questions and many more.
It is concise and simple to understand with photos, diagrams and a colour code based upon average portions. Many myths are shattered, processed food comes under the microscope and the danger of excess dairy and wheat consumption and obesity are discussed.

The books stem from the obvious but nonetheless urgent message that quality food will offer better quality of life and conversly poor quality food will lead to poor health. Nothing is more guaranteed.
Life started in East Africa as a fresh faced innocent through puberic boarding school teens into the explosively promiscuous 60’s of London. The author takes in Kashmir, before turning to teaching, leisure management, marketing, marriage and interviewing Miss Great Britain. Bristol and Bordeaux beckoned alongside success and failure, highs and lows but always with humour and a smile. And finally, having trained as a therapist and dietician, the constant passage of ill and unhappy clients through my clinics led to the conclusion that quality of food will determine quality of life for the consumer. The books are written to give readers a chance to understand this connection.. I now live in Devon, S.W. England.
